Announcement Regarding the Hiatus of Halo Mics

I have some unfortunate news to share.  As of this week, Halo Mics will be entering a long hiatus, likely a year or longer, due to circumstances outside of my control.

During this time, all regular customer sales will be suspended.  Parts, support, and warranty service will continue as usual.

As part of the original plan for the company I intended to continue operating Halo Mics in Japan under a business visa.  However, due to regulatory changes that took effect in October 2025 I am no longer able to meet the requirements necessary to continue sales legally.  These changes were implemented without a grace period and left no viable path forward under the existing plan.

Additionally, international shipping constraints, particularly to the United States, have significantly impacted operations and revenue, making it impossible to sustain new product development during this period.

I have been consulting with an immigration lawyer for several months and it has become clear that the only viable path forward is to place the company on hold while I pursue a long term solution.  I am eligible to apply for permanent residency which would allow Halo Mics to resume operations without these limitations once approved.  However, this process can take a year or longer.

For now Halo Mics should be considered on an extended hiatus with no fixed restart timeline.  I will share updates if and when the situation changes.
I’m truly sorry for any disappointment this might cause.  I sincerely appreciate all the support from the community over the past year and I hope you will support Halo Mics in the future as well.
